Melissa Cavaliere joined Bergman Bergman Fields & Lamonsoff, LLP in October of 2020, as an associate attorney. Throughout her career, Melissa’s areas of practice have included, general negligence, automobile liability, premises liability, property damage, construction defect, labor law and, commercial litigation. Melissa comes to the firm with a vast degree of experience, having practiced as a general civil litigator for well over a decade in State Court where she also handled all aspects of litigation, right through to appeals, and has also practiced in Federal Court.
She is admitted in New York State, and is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York, and the Southern District of New York.
Melissa earned her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law. Prior to that, Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and minored in Public Relations and Communications.
She also sits on the executive board of the Queens Women’s Bar, has organized and presented at CLEs, and also served as a delegate to the Women’s Bar of the State of New York. Likewise, Melissa is a member of several other local bar association chapters and sits on the planning committee for several charities.
